Beginning in October and through last Saturday, World Central Kitchen has provided 5,400 meals that have been distributed to gig workers in Nashville who have been in need of nourishing food. These meals, precooked by DEGA Catering and ready to be heated up, will serve a family of four for up to a week!
Thank you Whitney Pastorek and World Central Kitchen for these meals, and Kris O'Connor and DEGA Catering for your preparation. Thanks to Kim Molnar and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, dry goods and produce were provided for each car drive-through, providing at least a week’s worth of meals.
Our ringleaders making this all work are Luke Lowes from Rhino Staging, and Chuck Beckler: producer extraordinaire. Huge thanks to the staff at Bandit Lites and Clair Global - especially Michael Strickland and Michael Golden from Bandit and Scott Appleton and Scott Hernbeck from Clair - as well as Sharon Corbitt, John Greenstreet, and the volunteer crew that showed up weekly to ensure a safe and organized drive-through.
