COLUMBUS, OH - Last weekend’s Sonic Temple Festival at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus was busy, busy, busy! The lineup on stage was amazing, but some real stars were working backstage to save food and feed people in need.
Our ‘headliner’ Emily Rials of Food Rescue US - Columbus was unbelievable, as was Spike, her partner in cause. They ensured those organizations with the greatest need were prioritized. In no particular order, the receiving charities were: YMCA Van Buren Center, Star House, St. Sophia Orthodox Cathedral, Friends of the Homeless, Crossroads World Outreach Ministries, Clinton Township Fire Station Community Fridge, Red Migrante Ohio, Food Soldier Canteen, Food Not Bombs, and HOPE Resource Center.
As always, our rockstars Aaron Thomas and Jim McCue of Venue Coalition were great. Special thanks to Danny Wimmer Presents and our ninja, Andy Reese, who gets it done!
Something special is going on in Columbus with Musically Fed. If you’re nearby, you should check it out! Volunteer Info
