Musically Fed Returns to Innings Festival and Extra Innings Festival for Another Year of Food Rescue
(Phoenix, AZ – 2/18/2025) – Musically Fed is excited to be back at Innings Festival in Tempe, AZ, on February 21-22 and Extra Innings Festival on February 28 – March 1, continuing its mission to repurpose unused catering and concessions for local nonprofits. Since the very first Innings Festival, Musically Fed has been on-site rescuing surplus backstage catering, as well as artist and VIP snacks, and transforming them into nourishing meals for those in need across The Valley.
This year, Musically Fed is proud to join forces once again with Innings Festival, Extra Innings Festival and M Culinary to ensure that good, nutritious food from both festivals is redirected to local organizations. They’ll be working with local agencies such as Paz de Cristo, Resurrection Street Ministry, East Valley Man's Shelter, Salvation Army, and Arizona State University’s Pitchfork Food Pantry.
“Innings/Extra Innings Festival have really enjoyed our partnership with Musically Fed,” says Innings’ Festival Founder Tim Sweetwood. “Their work seems to be really creating a positive impact and feeding many mouths. It is really great how they are able to reduce our environmental impact and help others all at the same time.”
Returning to Innings Festival fresh off a record-setting GRAMMY and FireAid Week, Musically Fed recently provided 2,513 meals to people in need throughout the Los Angeles area, including those affected by the recent wildfires. This momentum underscores the organization’s ongoing impact and commitment to fighting food insecurity across the country.

The chance to support so many in the Valley of the Sun by repurposing all the backstage catering from Innings Fest and Extra Innings Fest!” says Maria Brunner, Founder and Executive Director of Musically Fed. “Healthy food fuels healthy minds and bodies – and to me, that’s a homerun.”
Since 2018, Musically Fed’s efforts at Innings Festival, in partnership with C3 Presents, have resulted in the successful distribution of more than 10,000 meals. By working with artists, promoters, and venues, Musically Fed ensures that surplus food goes where it’s needed most, helping veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those facing food insecurity.
