Congratulations to all of the amazing people who came together to feed 300 families in Minneapolis yesterday! Volunteers worked hard all day Saturday and Sunday to load and unload trucks and to organize and re-package food, which was then dispersed on Labor Day. Loaves & Fishes was able to provide more food than was anticipated to distribute to live music/event workers, truly going above and beyond our expectations! Truly a labor of love on Labor Day!
It was an honor to team up with Just a Bunch of Roadies, Rhino Staging, Local 13, MVP Companies and First Avenue. In total, two-and-a-half semi-trailers were donated, and 300 families received five boxes of fresh food each. Special thanks to Kris O’Connor from Dega Catering for lending her expertise yet again. It was one of the most uplifting experiences we have had since March.
