Jim McCue

Vice President of Touring Venue Coalition

Jim McCue is an award-winning executive with over 30 years’ experience in the entertainment, arts, and sports industries. He has vast experience in producing successes in multiple venues including stadiums, arenas, performing arts facilities, plus touring, promoter, and agency roles. Jim is currently serving as Vice President of Touring at Venue Coalition where he is focusing on talent relations and booking among the company’s 100-plus member venues across North America.

 

McCue’s extensive experience includes 16 years as an agent at ICM, where the late artist Harry Chapin inspired action on food insecurity issues, followed by executive levels at major venues and companies including Palace Sports and Entertainment, Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, House of Blues in Colorado and ArenaNetwork. He is a two-time Pollstar Award winner for facility executive of the year, with other awards including Venues Today’s Hall of Headlines and Ticketmaster’s Platinum Ticket. At his most recent role at ASM Global, McCue oversaw booking and national support for 75 arenas, 60 theaters and seven stadiums

 

Jim has worked with artists and events such as Metallica, Coldplay, The Rolling Stones, and Manchester United, plus arena events such as Miranda Lambert, Fleetwood Mac, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Def Leppard, Thomas Rhett, Cirque du Solei, and Matchroom Boxing. He was a key executive for the “Walking with Dinosaurs, The Live Experience” arena tour, which ranked #6 for worldwide tickets sold in Pollstar Magazine’s 2007 year end summary.

 

Jim is passionate about mentorship and giving back to the community and has served as Adjunct Professor for the Entertainment Management Program at Johnson & Wales University, a guest lecturer at the University of Montana,  and as talent buyer for charity concerts.
